We all have them. Those projects we undertake purely out of passion. These are my passion projects, close to my heart and born from sheer dedication.
Passion Projects
The Art elevator
I firmly believe that art plays a pivotal role in our lives, and it should be easily accessible. While visiting museums and galleries is undoubtedly enriching, it often comes with certain behavioral expectations, making the art experience somewhat rigid and closed-off. To make art truly accessible, I initiated the Art Elevator – an art platform designed for young artists on their way up. We've taken an old loading dock and an industrial elevator in Stockholm Art District, transforming them into what is now known as the Stockholm Art Elevator.
The Bike Pirates
I always find my way around on a bike, regardless of the season. Stockholm is a city perfectly sized for convenient travel to every corner in just 30 minutes. Biking grants me freedom and represents the most sustainable mode of transport—for both personal health and the environment.
However, the infrastructure for us cyclists falls short of the City of Stockholm's ambition to be one of the world's best cities in terms of biking infrastructure. Regrettably, many bike lanes are hazardous, and the city's planning often prioritizes cars over bikes. In many instances, it seems as though city planners have never experienced biking themselves.
To aid the city and exert pressure on politicians, I founded The Bike Pirates. At the heart of this movement is an open API on Google Maps, enabling anyone to pinpoint and share perilous infrastructure conditions for cyclists. People have passionately shared their observations. We've since shared this service with the city, notifying them that we've essentially conducted an inventory on their behalf, initiating improvements in our quest to become one of the world's premier cities for biking.
And yes, we've conducted numerous guerrilla activities throughout the city to capture people's attention.
The Creativity Club
The Creativity Club (Kreativitets Klubben)
Being a creative means a lot of output. However, to truly nurture creativity, one also requires input. That's why I've initiated a community of diverse creatives to come together, inspire one another, and engage in discussions on creative topics. What does an architect's perspective offer, or how does a musician envision the most creative solutions to challenges? The Creativity Club is an exceptional community of creatives who regularly convene to provide this essential input.
This way, we can enhance our creative output and achieve excellence.
